NAB hands over Rs 4.06 m cheque to Iranian CG

QUETTA: National Accountability Bureau Balochistan handed over a cheque amounting to Rs 4.06 million to the Iranian Consul General here on Wednesday.

The amount was recovered from Khalid Aziz, proprietor of M/S MYKAB, a Pakistani company who not only cheated Iranian company but also caused loss of Rs over 3.4 million to national exchequer.

Director General NAB Balochistan Maj (R) Tariq Mehmood Malik handed over the cheque to Iranian Consul General Syed Hassan Yahyavi during a ceremony held at NAB Balochistan, Quetta.

NAB Balochistan after thorough probe recovered the amount from the accused and filed a reference (1/2010) in the Accountability Court, which is under trial.

Besides, NAB Balochistan recovered Rs. 3.4 million from the accused and deposited in government exchequer.

DG NAB Balochistan assured his all out support to recover the remaining amount of Rs. 2.8 million.

Iranian Consul General on the occasion commended the efforts of NAB for the recovery of the looted amount and hoped that rest would be recovered at earliest.
