Nazim Jamia Binoria among six killed in Karachi violence

KARACHI: Six people, including Nazim Jamia Binoria Maulana Masood Baig, were killed and another injured in different violence incidents in the city on Wednesday. Maulana Masood Baig, Nazim Jamia Binoria, was shot dead when unidentified armed motorcyclists opened fire on his car near KDA Roundabout in Nazimabad area. The cleric was stated to be Sunni and the son-in-law of renowned religious scholar Mufti Mohammad Naeem, founder head of Jamia Binoria.

Two persons, Saleem Siddiqi, 40, son of Akhtar Siddiqi, and Mohammad Arshad, 38, son of Mohammad Rustam, were gunned down when unidentified armed men opened fire on a milk shop in Korangi No-5 J area. The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

Qasim Raza, 35, son of Mohammad Ameen, was shot dead by unknown armed men near car-lifting police cell in FC area. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy.

Iqbal Ziauddin, 45, son of Shamsuddin, was gunned downed by unidentified armed men at Manghopir area. The body was shifted to ASH for a postmortem examination.

Separately, Mohammad Akram, 28, son of Junejo, was shot dead and a 25-year-old man, Bilal, was shot and injured by unidentified armed men at Chakiwara No-2 in Lyari. The body and the injured were shifted Civil Hospital Karachi for a postmortem examination and treatment respectively.
