NDMA continues to provide relief assistance to IDPs

Islamabad: The National Disaster Management Authority continues to provide relief assistance to the IDPs in Bannu and D.I Khan regions. NDMA officials told that the number of registered families of IDPs has risen to eighty three thousand five hundred and ninety.

Pak Army and United Arab Emirates have so far jointly distributed sixty eight thousand nine hundred food packets while the world food programme has provided more than forty two thousand food packets among the IDPs.

They said mobile Sims have so far been issued to 42000 IDPs. 37047 mobile Sims have so far been activated.

They added that financial assistance announced by the Punjab government at seven thousands rupees per family has also been disbursed among IDPs through mobile Sims.
