NGOs asked to work for social uplift

Mirpurkhas: Additional Deputy Commissioner I Mirpurkhas Asghar Joya said on Wednesday that NGOs should aware the people how to play individually effective role for development and welfare of the society.

While expressing views in a workshop organized by Plan International on the theme of “Natural Disaster Management regarding food security and how to get ready in any alarming situation”, Joya urged NGOs to start such projects that can help poor men for a long time and poor people could get benefit of it.

On the occasion the Plan International NGO manager Wajid Shams said that this project has been started in 24 villages of district Mirpurkhas and 14 village of district Badin. He said that agriculture growth and livestock projects have also been started in nine districts of Sindh.

Assistant Commissioner Hussain Bux Mari, Ghulam Hussain, Assistant Commissioner Dighri Sanaullah, District sport manager PPHI program Islahuddin Tarago, DDO social welfare Junaid Mirza, DO Labor Zubair Baloch, media persons and civil society activists were also present.
