No ghost staff to be tolerated in health sector: Dahar

KARACHI: Provincial Health Minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar on Wednesday directed secretary health to issues explanation letters to heads of malaria and dengue programs respectively over their unsatisfactory performance.

He said while presiding over a meeting in his office here. Secretary Health Sindh Saeed Ahmed Mangnejo also attended the meeting.

He added that heads of malaria and dengue programs Dr Naheed Jamali and Dr Shakil Malik had failed to create awareness at mass level and showed apathy towards their working while it was the need of hour to create awareness regarding these deadly diseases among masses and to save common man from them.

Jam Mehtab asked medical superintendents (MSs) all government hospitals and concerned district medical officers (DHOs) to ensure attendance of doctors and other paramedical staff and ghost staff would not be tolerated in Sindh health department. He directed to all officers concerns to improve efficiency of the department.

He further directed secretary health to look into affairs of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center Karachi affairs and resolved them as soon as possible.
