Nurses delegation calls on health minister

Karachi: Provisional Health Minister Dr Sagheer Ahmed on Tuesday said people associated with prestigious nursing profession are serving the humanity and vowed to take every possible step to resolve the problems being faced by the nursing community.

He expressed these views while talking to the delegation of Provisional Nurses Association Sindh during a meeting held at his office here. He said nursing community were performing their duties 24 hours at healthcares despite adverse situation and it was the responsibility of government to resolve their genuine demands as they would able to serve the people without any mental stress.

Health minister inquired about the problems being faced by nursing community from delegation of provisional nursing association. The delegation requested the health minister to increase the allowance of nurses on the pattern of other provinces besides increasing the strengthen of doctors and nurses in healthcare throughout Sindh province in order to ensure better healthcare to general public. The delegation specially discussed the increasing of health allowance with minister.

Dr Saghir assured the delegation that every possible step would be taken to resolve the problems facing nursing department.

The delegation was led by Provisional Nursing Association Sindh President Ghulam Dastagir, Vic-President Kausar Farooqi & Muhmmad Sharif Sheikh , General Secretary Afshan Nazli and treasure Talat Parveen Shah.
