One killed, seven injured in city accidents

KARACHI: One person was killed and seven others were injured in different traffic accidents here on Wednesday.

An unknown man, aged 50, died after a train ran over him near Star Gate railway track. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

In another incident, three people were injured near Star Hotel along Sea View when a fast moving vehicle hit them. The injured were Zar Gul, 25, Shakir, 24 and Maroof, 24. All were the residents of Korangi No 2. They were shifted to JPMC for treatment.

Separately, three people were injured in a traffic incident near Saba Cinema Sector 5 C, New Karachi. The injured were identified as a teenager girl, Zainab, 18, Rubina, 24, daughters of Abdul Rasheed, and Umar, 24. All injured were shifted to ASH for treatment.

Meanwhile, Khurram Maseeh, 28, son of Adnan Maseeh, resident of Bhimpura, was injured in a road accident in Malir Sector 6 area. He was rushed to JPMC for treatment.
