One killed, six injured in Karachi

KARACHI: One person was killed and other four were injured in separate violence incidents in the city on Saturday. A man, Sher Mohammad, son of Ali Sher, 52, was shot dead and another unknown person aged about 35, injured by unidentified armed men near Quetta Town on Superhighway in a same incident. The body and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH).

In another incident, Atif, 35, son of Latif and his colleague Sikandar, residents of Gizri, were shot and injured by unidentified gunmen near Al-Falah petrol pump in Gizri, Khayaban-e-Jami. Both were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for treatment.

According to Gizri police, Atif and Sikandar were on the way in Khayaban-e-Jami when two motorcyclists came and opened fire on them. Resultantly, both sustained minor injuries and discharged from the hospital after treatment. Police said that the incident seemed personal enmity of Sikandar with his relatives.

Separately, a 30 years old resident of Model Colony, Malir, was shot and injured by unidentified accused near his residence. He was shifted to Liaqat National Hospital for treatment.

Yet in another incident, a man Peer Bux, 32, son of Dur Mohammad, resident of Piyala Hotel, was shot and injured by unidentified armed men near Gulzar-e-Hijri police station in Al-Asif Square area. He was shifted to ASH for treatment.

A youth, Mohammad Illahi, 24, son of Haji Sami, was shot and injured by unidentified gunmen near Quetta Town, Superhighway. He was shifted to ASH for treatment.
