ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, respondents were asked for their views regarding their previous day. 49% Pakistanis claimed to have done something interesting the day before from which they also learned new things.
A nationally representative sample of working men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Think about yesterday from beginning to end. Where were you and what were you doing? Who was with you and how were you feeling at that time? Now give your opinion on the following: Did you do anything interesting yesterday from which you learned something new?” In response to this question, 49% said yes while 41% said no and 10% did not respond.
According to the gender breakdown more males (50%) than females (48%) said that they had done something interesting the previous day. Likewise, more females (44%) than males (40%) said that they had not done anything interesting the previous day.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1786 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during October 05 – October 12, 2015. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
