Opinion Poll: (Majority Pakistanis believe that going to cast one’s vote in Pakistan is not a difficult task)

ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 60% Pakistanis disagree with the statement that going to cast vote is a difficult task.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “To what extent do you agree or disagree with the following statement: Casting one’s vote or going to cast the vote is a very difficult task.”

In response to this question, 30% respondents completely disagreed, 30% disagreed to some extent while 21% said that they agreed to some extent and 18% said that they completely agreed. 1% did not respond.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1850 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during January 18 – January 25, 2016. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
