Opinion Poll:(48% Pakistanis prefer to stay at home during evening time: Report)

ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 48% Pakistanis said that they prefer to stay at home in the evenings.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Usually what do you prefer to do in your evenings?”

In response to this question, 48% said that they stay at their home, 36% said that they watch TV or listen to music while 14% said that they visit their friends etc. 1% gave other responses and another 1% did not respond.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1850 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during January 18 – January 25, 2016. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
