Islamabad: Dr. Abdulaziz-Al-Ghadeer, outgoing Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan called on the Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif here Thursday.
Prime Minister appreciated efforts of Dr. Abdulaziz-Al-Ghadeer for further strengthening the already close and fraternal bonds between the two countries.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy close and fraternal relations that are marked by common perceptions on all issues of mutual interest at regional and international level, said the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister further said that our two countries have always stood by each other in testing times and the people of Pakistan deeply value our relations with the Saudi Kingdom.
Prime Minister said that there is a need to further enhance bilateral trade commensurate with the strong fraternal bonds that exist between our two countries.
The large Pakistani Community (about 1.5 million) in Saudi Arabia is a human bridge between our two brotherly countries and they have been playing an important role in the development and prosperity of both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, added the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister conveyed prayers for the good health and long life of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Majesty King Abdullah as well as for progress and prosperity of the people of the Kingdom.
In recognition of the services of Dr. Abdulaziz-Al-Ghadeer in strengthening the mutual relations between governments of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, the Prime Minister recommended award of Quaid-e-Azam Medal to Dr. Abdulaziz-Al-Ghadeer by the President of Pakistan.
Prime Minister wished the outgoing Saudi Ambassador good health and prosperity and all the best in future official assignments.
