PAF RELIEF AND RESCUE OPERATIONS CONTINUE IN THE FLOOD AFFECTED AREAS

Islamabad: On the instructions of Air Chief Marshal, Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, 06 PAF Helicopters continued relief and rescue operations in the flood affected areas of Southern Punjab.

These helicopters have dropped 85000 Kg of dry ration comprising Atta, Rice, Pulses, Dates, Biscuits and Mineral Water in these areas. Moreover, hundreds of flood stricken people, stranded in the low lying areas of Southern Punjab have also been evacuated to safer places.

PAF rescue squadrons have flown rescue missions in Multan, Ahmadpur Sial and Muzaffar Garh areas.
