Pak tennis team leaves for Singapore for IC Junior Challenge League today

Karachi: Pakistan IC tennis team will leave for Singapore today (Monday) from Karachi to take part in IC Junior Challenge League scheduled to begin in Singapore from October 28.

The tournament is a five-nation event and apart from host Singapore and Pakistan, New Zealand, Japan and Israel will also be taking part in this biannual junior team competition.

Pakistan team comprises of Mohammad Raza Sawani, Mohammad Nauman Aftab and Hania Naveed. Secretary Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Mohammad Khalid Rehmani will accompany the team as official.

Two years back, Pakistan finished third in the tournament held in Shiba, Japan. Australia clinched the title then while host Japan ended at second spot on the podium.

The winning team will take part in the finals of IC International League to be held in Monte Carlo in September 2016.
