Karachi: Pakistan Muslim League Sindh chapter president Haleem Adil Sheikh said here Tuesday that Pakistan faces more internal threats than external dangers due to corrupt and inept rulers.

He said the Pakistan’s sovereignty and survival is presently in very weak political hands; however, the defence of Pakistan is in very strong hands. He said Pakistan faces more threats from its politicians than from the outside enemies. He said the nation is proud of its brave armed forces guarding its borders.

He in a statement said the ruling political party has ignored the national resources and begged before the aliens and hung the head of nation in shame. He said their hypocrisy could be observed from the fact that they perform even simpler tasks in more difficult manner.

The poor masses have been facing lawlessness, hunger and joblessness. This is due to heavy foreign loans that are utilized by the ruling elite but repaid by the coming generations of poor masses.

He said the rulers have no vision of how to improve education and healthcare. They are building royal palaces and their own bank balance is increasing with every passing day. He said common people are punished for petty crimes but the big corrupt crocodiles are always pardoned. He said the rulers commit as much sins as they could bear in the world hereafter.

Haleem Adil Sheikh said the national policies meant for safeguarding the interest of rulers are putting the nation in more hardships. The gap between the rich and poor is widening. The rulers are tormenting the poor to keep the rich happy. This is why today every Pakistani is saying that we face more internal threats due to this state-sponsored economic terrorism.
