Pakistan junior team leaves for Malaysia to feature in hockey tournament

Karachi: Pakistan junior hockey team will fly from Lahore to Kuala Lumpur today (Wednesday) to feature in 5th Sultan of Johor Junior Hockey Tournament, which will be played in Johor Bahru, Malaysia from October 11 to 18.

The training camp of national junior hockey team concluded on Tuesday. During training session, player Mohammad Adnan (half back) sustained serious injury.

On the recommendations of the National Selection Committee, the team management has inducted Zahidullah as replacement of Mohammad Adnan and additional player Mohsin Sabir will accompany the squad.

Squad: Goalkeepers: Mohammad Talal Khalid, Ali Haider. Full Backs: Mubashir Ali, Shah Faisal Shah, Mohammad Atif Mushtaq. Half Backs: Faizan, Abu Bakar, Mohammad Qasim, Sikandar Mustafa, Zahid Ullah, Mohammad Junaid Kamal. Forwards: Shan Irshad, Azfar Yaqoob, Mohammad Dilber (Captain), Fahad Ullah, Suhail Riaz, Mohammad Atiq, Mohammad Bilal Qadir, Mohammad Adnan Anwar, Mohammad Naveed, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohsin Sabir.
