Pakistan takes notice of treatment meted out to Kasuri in India

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that Pakistan has taken notice of the treatment meted out to former Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri in India on Sunday.

Talking to media persons here on Tuesday, he said the former foreign minister had gone to India for the launch of his book and he was the guest of that country. But the prejudice and narrow mindedness of an extremist group towards him and the organizers is condemnable which aggrieved the whole humanity.

Pervaz Rashid said Pakistan always welcomes the Indian players, poets and actors on its land with open heart. “Our hospitality reflects that the people of Pakistan are peace loving and tolerant while the attitude of Shiv Sena was contrary to these traits”, he added.

When asked about recently conducted by polls in NA-122, Pervaiz Rashid said the victory of PML (N) in the constituency have proven false the rigging allegations of Imran Khan. He said there is no difference in the percentage of votes secured by his party in the by election and the 2013 general elections.
