Pakistan’s 13 exhibitors attend Asia’s premier textile fair

KARACHI: Asia’s premier fair for the home textiles industry entitled as “Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition” concluded in Shanghai, with new records set for exhibitors, visitors and exhibition space figures. Ms. Farhat Ayesha the Acting Consul General also visited the show at first day and met the Pakistani exhibitors. Over 43,000 trade buyers attended the exhibition, held from 26-28 August 2015 for the first time at the National Exhibition and Convention Center Shanghai. The 1,402 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions that took part was also a new high point in the fair’s 21-year history.

Together with joint stand participation, Pakistan has 13 exhibitors in 21st Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition 2015. TDAP have eight exhibitors: five exhibitors in textile and three in carpet and five individual exhibitors.

Exhibitors include Continental Textile Mills, Indus Home Ltd, Lucky Textile Mills, MK Sons, Magna Textile Industries Pvt Ltd, Majeed Fabrics Pvt Ltd, Maguari Textile, Mubeen Maqbool Industries and Perfect Hometex. Carpet Exhibitors are Imran Brothers, Aviva Enterprises, Hamdan Traders. Exhibitors remain optimistic about China market despite economic situation

“We met buyers from China as well as international buyers from Europe and America. China is a big market and Intertextile has been an important fair in this sector. We are happy with the outcome of the show and hopefully will be back next year.” explained Farhat Ullah Sheikh,- Director, Magna Textile.

Carpet exhibitors were also happy and they will also join the exhibition next year. In recent years, the fair has placed a big emphasis on providing opportunities for exhibitors that match market demand through relevant product zones, with the new Whole-Home Style and digital printing areas joining the existing Exquisite Europe, Intertextile Design Boutique, editors and carpet & rug zones this year. Buyers also appreciated the zones, as well as the internationality of the fair.

Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition is organized by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; and the China Home Textile Association.
