Pappu murder case: ATC adjourns hearing

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of Lyari gangster Arshad Pappu’s murder case and directed SSP Investigation South to appear on next hearing with his report.

ATC judge conducted the hearing of the case and directed Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) South to appear on next hearing and produce a report. The court adjourned the hearing till 1st August 2015.

Pappu, a notorious Lyari gangster was killed with his brother Yasir Arafat and associate Shera Pathan in Lyari’s Brohi Chowk on 16 March 2013.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MNA Shahjahan Baloch, then SHO Chakiwara, Javed Baloch, inspector Yousuf Baloch, Zubair, Zakir alias Dada and Abdur Rehman had been charged with their alleged involvement in Pappu’s murder. On the other hand another infamous Lyari gangster, Uzair Baloch, Noor Mohammad alias Baba Ladla, Zahid Ladla, Asif Kana, Faysal Pathan, Yasir and Chand Khan Niazi had already been declared proclaimed offenders.
