PASDEC head meets Industries and Production minister

ISLAMABAD: The newly appointed CEO Pakistan Stone Development Company (PASDEC) Zahid Maqsood Sheikh met the Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Ghulam Murtaza Khan Jatoi here on Monday to discuss the performance and future of PASDEC.

The Minister said that the development of PASDEC into a successful and efficient organization needs financial development, operational efficiency and planning to which the CEO agreed that his organization was doing exactly that.

According to a press release, the CEO apprised the Minister that the upgradation of machinery has been successfully done in several locations that PASDEC operates in. Discussing the operations of quarries, the CEO said that many locations have been made operational and functioning at maximum productivity.

Operations in Balochistan were also discussed along with the need to revive and revitalize PASDEC’s operations in various areas such as in Lasbela and Khuzdar. Deliberating on operations in Sindh, FATA and KPK, the Minister said that facilities in these areas needed to be targeted and their potential maximized to make use of the opportunities available.

The Minister hoped that PASDEC could achieve new heights of success under Sheikh’s leadership. Another meeting on the formal future planning of PASDEC will be held soon.
