Islamabad: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Tahir-ul-Qadri on Saturday briefly spoke to his workers and supporters thanking them for being a part of the ‘Inqilab’ rally and urging them to remain peaceful.

He said he will present his charter of demands and reforms when he formally addresses his supporters at 4pm.

PAT supporters are slowly streaming in, eager to hear their party chief address the rally. Hundreds of buses can be seen over a stretch, and are packed on Khayaban-e-Suharwardy in the capital.

The government, which is facing arguably its toughest challenge since it came into power 15 months ago, has agreed to allow the two groups to hold rallies but the capital’s Red Zone remains blocked off with shipping containers.
