Physical, digital security stressed for journalists

Mirpurkhas, Sindh: Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) on Thursday organized a two-day training workshop for journalists on physical and digital security at a local hotel.

Senior Journalist and trainer Hashim Shar emphasized on physical security on media professional while another trainer Israr Mallah spoke on digital security to enhance professional skills of the participants whereas PPF’s Coordinator Ms Naseem and Master Trainer Tahir Mahmud also gave lectures. The workshop was attended by a large number of local journalists and cameramen from print and electronic media.

Hashim trained the media people on how to cover dangerous assignments like bomb explosions and terrorism. He asked them to give first preference to their own safety and security.

Training was also given on first aid skills, trauma management and related subjects.

Israr Mallah spoke on how to develop online journalism skills including and properly use electronic media equipments. He emphasized on the security of passwords and personal data.

At the conclusion, appreciation certificates were awarded to participants.
