Physical verification of doctors kicks off in Karachi

KARACHI: Director Health Karachi, Dr Zafar Ejaz on Saturday said physical verification of health practitioners has started across the Karachi to identify ghost employees and also to enhance utilization of recourses in better way.

Dr Zafar Ejaz said around 1300 doctors from Grade-17 to 19 are working in Karachi under director health Karachi. He said these doctors are working in all the Union Councils of city. He said physical verification of doctors had started in 2010 but could not be completed and now we have started physical verification of health practitioners to identify ghost employees again.

“Under this procedure doctors would be selected for the posts of UCs medical officer and they would assign to increase routine immunization as well as responsible for creating awareness in public to prevent from different disease and taking the precautionary measures in this regard”, he explained.

Dr Zafar Ejaz said verification process will also help to identify the medical centers where extra number of medical officers working unnecessary and they would be appointed in other centers where the posts are lying vacant. He said procedure will help to utilize the resource in better way.
