Islamabad: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Tuesday and discussed issues regarding new budget.
The finance minister sought directions of the Prime Minster regarding winding up budget debate and passage of finance bill for financial year 2014-15.
The prime minister directed the finance minister to ensure provision of ample funds for rehabilitation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan operation.
He said every possible step should be taken to provide assistance to these IDPs.
It is pertinent to mention that the Finance Minister will conclude budget debate today and the National Assembly will begin process of passage of demands for grant for the next financial year.
Meanwhile, PM Nawaz Sharif has directed Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch to reach affected areas of North Waziristan operation.
The minister will remain present in the area to look after the displaced people.
The Prime Minister also directed the minister to ensure maximum help to the displaced people.
