PM: Pakistan Could Not compromise of its defence, sovereignty: Nawaz Sharif

Islamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said Pakistan has no aggressive designs but also could not compromise on its defence and sovereignty. He was addressing a ceremony in Mianwali to rename PAF base as M.M. Alam base. M. M, Alam was hero of 1965 war against India who got commission in PAF in 1952 and retired as Air Commodore. The Prime Minister said Pakistan is a peace loving country and believes in peaceful coexistence with the neighbouring countries.

However, he said Pakistan will never withdraw from its sovereignty and dignity at any cost. He said we have to protect our political, economic and cultural freedom and the government will provide all resources to its forces for defending the borders of the country. He said a strong force is inevitable to ensure defence of the country. Paying tributes to late M. M. Alam, the Prime Minister said every Pakistani wants to follow his footsteps to revive the glory of Islam and make Pakistan a shining country. Earlier, talking to media Prime Minister said the government is striving to make the country a progressive and developed State which could meet the requirement of modern era.
