PM (PM chairs meeting on Balochistan law and order)

Quetta: Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif chaired a high level meeting here on Tuesday which reviewed overall law and order situation in Balochistan, in the backdrop of recent Mastung incident.

In his opening remarks the Prime Minister regarded the Mastung incident as extremely tragic which shocked the entire nation. He directed for immediate arrest of the perpetrators of Mastung incident and to bring them to justice.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan’s enemies are not happy with the country’s progress and development and want to weaken it through such incidents.

He said the government has a strong resolve to eradicate terrorism and extremism from the country. Operation Zarb-e-Azb, he said, is going very well and TDPs are now going back to their homes.

Chief Secretary Balochistan briefed the Prime Minister on law and order situation in the province in general and Mastung incident in particular.

The Prime Minister was also briefed on the essentials of National Action Plan and its implementation status in the province of Balochistan.

(R) Abdul Qadir Baloch; Minister of State for Petroleum, Jam Kamal; Balochistan Minister for Mines, Mr. Sanaullah Zehri; Balochistan Home Minister, Mir Sarfraz Ahmad Bugti; MNA, Mr. Mahmood Khan Achakzai; Commander Southern Command, Lt. Gen. Naseer Khan Janjua; Chief Secretary Balochistan; IG Balochistan and IG FC attended the meeting along with other senior government officials.
