PM: (PM pledges to continue efforts for regional peace)

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan will continue playing its due role for peace in the region.

Talking to media persons in London on way to the United States to attend the 70th session of UN General Assembly, he said Pakistan is a responsible country and playing its role in the region correctly.

The prime minister said we are pursuing the agenda for Pakistan’s prosperity. He said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will be a milestone in country’s progress, development and prosperity.

Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan will continue its efforts with Afghanistan for restoration of peace in the region. He said Operation Zarb-e-Azb is continuing successfully to eliminate terrorism from the country.

The Prime Minister said both the countries are committed to jointly fight the menace of terrorism. He said Pakistan does not want any kind of disturbance in the region. He said they have introduced several changes to the foreign policy, which will produce positive results.

The prime minister said Kashmir is the fundamental issue between Pakistan and India and Islamabad wants to discuss all issues including the Kashmir problem with New Delhi. He said resolution of Kashmir dispute is vital for peace in the region.
