PML-Q holds Quran-Khawani for earthquake martyrsOctober 26, 2015
Karachi: Pakistan Muslim League- Quaid e Azam (PML-Q) Sindh chapter here Tuesday held Quran-Khawani for the martyrs of earthquake and also prayed Allah, the Almighty, to save Pakistan and Pakistanis from the natural calamities.
In this regard a gathering for prayer and Fateha-Khawani was held in which Haleem Adil Sheikh; President PML-Q Sindh chapters invited all to join the prayer. A large number of senior PML leaders, workers, civil society members and citizens attended the gathering.
Haleem Adil Sheikh suggested that all political and non-political organizations should arrange such gatherings to pray for the departed souls. He also urged them to help the survivors in their swift rehabilitation. He said he himself is leaving for Peshawar tomorrow along with two truckloads of relief goods managed by their social welfare organization Pakistan Relief Foundation (PRF). He said these goods arranged on self-help basis include tents, ration and other necessary articles. He said we have also arranged a relief camp for the help of the survivors under the banner of PRF.
Haleem Adil Sheikh stressed the need of reviving the spirit of the year2005 go assist the survivors of the earthquake. He said the government failed to implement its disaster plan. He said the NDMA and PDMA should have to work at the grassroots level. He said the nations and not the governments face the natural calamities bravely. He said the federal government should have to walk its talk.
He said the object of arranging the Quran-Khawani was to pray for the departed souls. He said however, we have to work tirelessly for the rehabilitation of survivors. He said after the earthquake of 2005, the Karachiites had played a heroic role in assisting the survivors and this time also such a role is expected from the proud people of Karachi.
On the occasion, PML-Q leaders Naeem Adil Sheikh, Nafees Haider, Nisar Soomro, Shahid Abbasi, Anwar Kashmiri, Kamran Haroon Ansari, Rehman Shah, Naseeb Orakgoi, Wasil Khan, Fareeda Laghari, Kousar Bibi, Tasleem Zahra, Musrat, Faiza Laghari, Mahgul Ghafoor and others were present.
