Police book 7000 for pro-Mumtaz Qadri protest

KARACHI: Police on Saturday lodged a case against 7000 protesters who protested at M A Jinnah Road near Mazar-e-Quaid against the execution of Mumtaz Qadri.

Soldier Bazaar police lodged two cases against Arshad, Imran, Anjum Attari, Saqib Noorani, Suhail Qadri and 7000 unknown protesters on behalf of State in account of violating Loud Speaker Act.

SHO Soldier Bazaar Irshad Soomro said that police lodged two FIRs against 7000 protestors and arrested two protesters namely Arshad and Imran, while raids were being conducted to arrest other accused.

on 29th February thousands of people had protested at Numaish Chowrangi of M A Jinnah Road against the execution of Mumtaz Qadri.
