Police get Rs 2.5m reward for killing two bandits

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali on Wednesday announced to award Rs 1.5 million and Rs 1 million separately to the police party for killing two bandits Irfan Jatoi and Peero Macchi in an encounter that took place near Moro.

According to a police, the encounter took place within jurisdiction of Qamaruddin Chandio police station. Police also recovered one repeater, two abductees, one Engineer of National Highway Authority (NHA) Ghulam Shabir Shaikh and his driver Ishaq Rajput who were kidnapped two weeks ago from the jurisdiction of Qazi Ahmed police station.

In a separate raid, Kashmore police within jurisdiction of Kachi Ketti police station recovered an abductee, Vijay Kumar, son of Bhooro Mal, who was kidnapped from the jurisdiction of Karampur police station some days.
