Peshawar: Political Administration of Landikotal kept arrested a 6th class student for four days illegally and tortured him mentally for four days at Landikotal lock up. An elderly person of over 60 was also shown jail way in Landikotal.

Reforms and amendments in Frontier Crimes Regulations in FATA and human rights are trampled under the feet by taking such illegal actions, NGO activist and oppressed persons complained to media.

Talking to mediamen, the uncle Rahmat of 12 years old and 6th class student Azhar ud Din son of Zabeed resident of Bai Khel Landikotal said that some villagers might have stolen the parts of construction company machinery near their village whereas the Landikotal based political administration’s Assistant Political Agent Tayib Abdullah put his nephew in jail for 4 days after a local contractor complaint against the villagers. Rahmat said that his nephew was innocent and other villagers might have been involved in stealing machinery parts which have already been reportedly recovered from some villagers.

Another local Haji Sharbat Shinwari said that some days before the Landikotal based political administration official also put him behind the bars after he submitted a stay order of FATA tribunal against one of his cases which is under hearing at the political administration of Landikotal.

He said that the official of political administration of Landikotal has failed in providing justice to the people and resolving their issues on justices basis. He said that the political administration was violating basic human rights which must be noticed.

Haji Sharbat Shinwari demanded of the Governor of KP and International human rights organizations to provide him justice as the political administration officials were still threatening him to put him in Jail.

Nizam Dawar, Tribal Development Network (TDN) chairman told reporters that many amendments had been introduced in Frontier Crimes Regulations (FCR) but yet none of them could be implemented.
