KARACHI: A 2-day “Family Expo and Shajih Talent Award” ceremony concluded here on Sunday. The Family Expo was organized by the auspices of Pakistan Business Forum and Al-Khidmat Welfare Society at Expo Centre near Hassan Square.
The families in large numbers had thronged to Family Expo at the last day of the Expo.
Opposition leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah, Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, JUI-F leader Aslam Ghauri, famous actor Rahat Kazmi and other prominent personalities visited the “Family Expo and Shajih Talent Award”.
The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Central Naib Ameer Asadullah Bhutto, Naib Ameer Sindh Muhammad Hussain Mahenti, Secretary Al-Khidmat Abdul Aziz, JI former MNAs and MPAs Laeeq Khan, Younus Barai, Event Incharge Junaid Makati and others were also present on the occasion.
They visited different stalls set up in Family Expo and also distributed gifts and awards among the children.
The visitors also visited Nasrullah Khan Shajih Gallery and paid rich tributes to him for his services towards ailing humanity.
Talking to media, Khursheed Shah said that the health and education facilities were the basic need of every citizen, adding that organizing such a beautiful event in the recent prevailing tense situation of the city was a valuable effort of Al-Khidmat Welfare Society.
He lauded the efforts of Al-Khidmat Welfare Society for holding such a stunning exhibition.
“This event will definitely help in brining positive change in the prevailing tense situation of the city”, he added.
On the occasion, Shah lauded the efforts of JI Naib Ameer Karachi Nasrullah Khan Shajih by saying that he made the statement “politics for welfare” true by sacrificing his live for saving the life of a student.
Commissioner Karachi lauded the efforts of Al-Khidmat for holding the event and said that it was a great step by the administration of Al-Khidmat.
He said that the children are the future of Pakistan and it is our responsibility to ensure every possible facility including health, education and others to them.
“I am much impressed by the efforts made by Al-Khidmat Welfare Society for holding such an interesting event”, he added.
Engineer Abdul Aziz said that the city belongs to Jamaat-e-Islami and Al-Khidmat and the party leadership will let no stone unturned to make the future of the children bright and prosperous.
On the occasion, he also informed that the Al-Khidmat administration has vowed to establish a first women hospital in the history of Asia, where all affairs of the hospital will run by the women staff.
He further said that the Al-Khidmat will continue its recreational activities with the support of Jamaat-e-Islami.
