Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) joined hands on Tuesday as PAT Chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri joined PTI Chairman Imran Khan on his container. Speaking to crowd on this occasion, Dr. Qadri said that Articles 1 – 40 of the constitution gave rights to the people of Pakistan but the people of Pakistan were never given their rights during the last 41 years.

He said that his struggle was for the rights of people and those who had not given the rights to the people of Pakistan should be tried under Article 6.

Referring to the joint session of Parliament earlier Qadri questions if parliamentary leaders think he and Imran are enemies of democracy and Constitution. “The Constitution they talk about has not been implemented,” he added.

Summarising the 40 articles of the Constitution of Pakistan, Qadri reiterated that in the 67 years of Pakistan’s history the articles which promise liberty and equality to citizens have never been followed. Crowds chant “Go Nawaz Go”, as a fiery Qadri asked for justice for people.

“On August 10, they (PAT supporters) were coming for Youm-e-Shuhada to Lahore, not to take over Parliament when you (government) arrested them,” Qadri said. Further, Qadri clarified that his supporters are not responsible for the attack on PTV.
