KARACHI: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 74300 cusecs and Outflows 140000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 14500 cusecs and Outflows 14500 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 15900 cusecs and Outflows 55000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 31100 cusecs and Outflows 9000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 163700 cusecs and Outflows 155400 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 162800 cusecs and Outflows 163000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 142600 cusecs and Outflows 121200 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 17900 cusecs and Outflows 2100 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 122300 cusecs and Outflows 95500 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 88000 cusecs and Outflows 32200 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 62500 cusecs and Outflows 28400 cusecs.
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1528.40 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 5.228 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1232.20 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.639 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 644.20 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.120 MAF. The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 am.
