Karachi: Pot-holed section of Main University Road from Staff Colony Gate of Karachi University to Mosamiyat Chowrangi still awaits repair despite passage of many months, several complaints of citizens, and highlighting of the issue by the print and electronic media.

This busy section of road is a poor shape due to dozens of ditches, potholes and cracks. Motorists and commuters face immense problems and agonizing traffic jams are witnessed here during rush hours. However, the concerned authorities are still unmoved to get this section of road at least repaired if its reconstruction is not possible for them due to fund scarcity.

Early repair of this road would benefit millions of people using this road including thousands of students of Karachi University and NED University of Engineering & Technology. This road also links this part of the city with Malir Cantonment and Jinnah International Airport Karachi and continued ignorance of its poor condition is a matter of concern.

The citizens have once again appealed the Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan, Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Local Govt Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon to take notice of problems faced by Karachiites due to pot-holed section of this busy artery and order its immediate repair.
