KARACHI: On the directives of Patron-In-Chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) plans to send another round of trucks carrying Eid gifts for IDPs in Bannu ahead of Eidul Fitr.

“As a party having strong roots in every nook and corner of the country and the worst victim of terrorism, the PPP cannot remain aloof from the sufferings of our heroes and countrymen,” said a statement from Media Cell Bilawal House.

Bilawal has also directed that every party worker must share some kind of joys with IDPs on the occasion of Eid to fortify them belief in Pakistani nationalism.

It may be recalled that PPP had send a large volume of relief goods through a convoy of trucks to IDPs last week and former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Central Information Secretary Qamaruz Zaman Kaira, former Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi and other members of the PPP Relief Committee personally distributed and monitored the distribution in relief camp in Bannu.

Bilawal had constituted a nine-member PPP Committee for Relief headed by Khursheed Shah to arrange relief for the IDPs while all the Parliamentarians of the Party announced their one-month salary as donation for the relief funds. Besides, the party cadres were mobilized all over the country to collect relief goods. PPP-lead Sindh government has already extended a cash donation of Rs 150 million to Federal and KPK governments for relief pool.
