PPP rallies against Altaf’s statement for more provinces

NAUNDERO: The PPP activists took out a large rally entitled “Marsoon Marsoon Sindh Na Desoon”, held a protest demonstration and staged sit-in here on Thursday against the statement of MQM chief Altaf Hussain for creating more provinces in Pakistan on administrative ground.

The rally was led by City President Khalid Memon, Sikander Katpar, Fida Mirani, Ghulam Mustafa Narejo and others. They were chanting sky-high slogans against the MQM. They were holding banners, party flags and photos of PPP leaders.

They rally started from sugar mills road and terminated at taxi stand where they staged sit-in on Naundero-Ratodero road due to which it remained blocked and all kinds of traffic came to standstill.

Addressing the participants, they said that Altaf was conspiring to divide Sindh since 1990 and his such dream would never be fulfilled. They said that Sindh gave shelter to outside people after partition and now he was trying to divide it.

They said Pakistan Resolution was first passed in Sindh. They further said that Jinnahpur maps were also prepared and recovered. They asked him not to play with the sentiments of the people of Sindh, otherwise they would come out to save their motherland.

They said that if there is no Sindh then there will be no Pakistan.
