LAHORE: Ameer, Jamaat e islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the PPP had served the establishment for long and it could not go against it.

Speaking at an Iftar dinner in the city Saturday evening, he said that the party leaders also suffered from frustration like the general public. He said that the supremacy of the law required that accountability should begin from the top. However, he said that as and when someone from the elite was brought to the law, the entire elite class raised hue and cry.

He said that if the political parties had joined hands to wipe out poverty, ignorance and unemployment, there would not have been instances of suicide now. He said that the masses would have to rise for building Pakistan a truly Islamic welfare state.

The Ji chief said that no nation in the world had progressed through adoption of foreign language. We have committed an unpardonable crime by giving up our own language and culture, and adopting the western culture and language, he said. He said that the constitution made it mandatory for the government to introduce Urdu as official and court language within fifteen years.

However, he this had not been done even after passage of fort years. May is ask the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court if this does not constitute violation of the constitution, he asked. He said that the common man could not get justice unless the old and class based system was buried.
