KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Member Central Executive Committee, Pir Mazharul Haque, on Sunday remarked that the role of co-chairman PPP, Asif Ali Zardari, is being admired for defending democracy in present political crises.

While talking to a delegation of media persons, he termed the admiration for co-chairman as victory for the party’s leadership. He further said that a meeting of central executive committee would evolve a strategy for next round.

He admired the unity of all political leaders for defence of democracy and constitution and said that Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri were losing the support of people. “People are gradually returning to their homes one by one, moreover, Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri would be nowhere in history for their committed mistakes,” he added.

“Activists of PML-N should memorize, before criticizing Zardari, that their leader, Nawaz Sharif, is inspired by him for his leadership qualities and sought his advices in the difficult time,” he added.

He said: “PPP is the only political, democratic and nationwide party that possesses magnificent manifesto, long political history, devoted leaders and activists that would not back from any sort of sacrifices. Moreover, he said that PPP would be in forefront if Pakistani democracy faced threats.
