Press conference in Washington on repatriation of Dr Aafia

WASHINGTON, D. C: On Friday, March 11, 2016 representatives of the Pakistan American Democratic Forum (PADF), Pakistani American Congress (PAC), American Muslim Alliance (AMA) and American Muslim Task Force on Civil Rights and Elections (AMT), a national coalition of major Muslim organizations will hold a news conference to express their frustration on inaction, inability and or neglect on part of Pakistani Government to secure the release of Pakistani Citizen and noted scientist Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, an innocent victim of wrongful prosecution in the aftermath of her abduction, torture and abuse in March 2003.

This news conference is intended to convey a global broad-based public demand for the Repatriation of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui back to her home in Pakistan. Dr. Aafia Siddiqui Repatriation global mobilization in this Month of March signifies as March is the month of Aafia’ Birthday, her abduction and women’s day.

The conference shall also discuss the Socio- Political challenges that undermine the national independence, state hegemony and the integrity of Citizens at home and abroad in the environment of Muslim bashing and Islamophobia.

The speakers include Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Toor Chairman, Pakistan American Democratic Forum (PADF), President Pakistani American Congress (PAC), Imam Mahdi Bray National Director Washington, DC, American Muslim Alliance (AMA), and Mohammad Salim Akhtar National Director, American Muslim Task Force on Civil Rights and Elections (AMT), says a release of Aafia Movement Pakistan.
