Prevalence of dental diseases high in Pakistan

KARACHI: To highlight and discuss the multiple aspects of dentistry and oral diseases, Pakistan Dental Association (PDA) successfully held an Implant Seminar at a local hotel.

President PDA, Prof. Dr. Saqib Rasheed, Dr. Mehmood Shah, President PDA Sindh chapter, Dr. Abu Bakar Shaikh, Salman Zafar, Dr. Raza Kazmi, Dr. Junaid Lakhani, Syed Abrar Ali, Kashif Naqvi, Syed M. Faizan, President PDA, Karachi, Prof. Dr. Naveed Rashid, Gen. Secy, Dr. Feroz Jahangir, Dr. Aqeel Shaikh, M. Adnan, Tahir Munir, Nauman Khan, Mehmood Parekh and Salman Maniar were present.

Dr. Saqib Rasheed spoke on “Recent Advancement in Dental Research”. He said that prevalence of oral diseases in the country is high. We need to hold workshops and seminars to create awareness of risk factors associated with poor oral hygiene among the masses.

Dr. Noor ul Wahab and Dr. Naveed Rashid also spoke on the occasion and urged the young BDS doctors to get knowledge about new treatment techniques.

Dr. Jahangir Feroz also appreciated the efforts of PDA for holding such type of seminars.
