Probe initiated into govt land scam

Larkana: The Additional Commissioner Revenue, Larkana Division, Larkana, is conducting an inquiry into the fraud of government land and has directed the Mukhtiarkar, Ratodero, to send information about the Tapedars posted on the Deh Ratodero since 2004 till to-date through concerned official on 19th September, 2014 at 10.00 am.

He has further directed him to serve notices upon the parties as per revenue record in a manner laid down under section 24 of Sindh Land Revenue Act, 1967 to appear before him at Commissioner’s office. The Additional Commissioner has also directed to the Assistant Commissioner, Larkana, to send relevant Land Acquisition proceeding of the same matter through well conversant official.

He has further directed the Sub-Registrar, Ratodero, to send relevant correspondence/vouchers on the fixed date. Copy of the letter has also been sent to District Health Officer, Larkana, for deputing well conversant officer of the subject matter to pursue the matter on the same date.

It is said that some of the Revenue Officials of Ratodero Mukhtiarkar office were found involved in making fraudulent entries in government land belonging to Taluka Hospital, Ratodero, where doctors & paramedics colony was constructed about four decades ago.

The Assistant Commissioner, Ratodero, conducted an inquiry and named the Tapedars involved in the fraud. Deputy Commissioner, Larkana, suspended these Tapedars & further necessary action is still awaited against all of them.

The Medical Superintendent of THQ wrote a letter recently to the Deputy Commissioner for cancellation of such fraudulent entries.

The Hospital was established on the directives of PPP founder & former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and inaugurated in mid seventies by him.
