Qambar, Sindh: A large number of residents on Saturday staged a demonstration outside the Qambar Press Club against SSGC Sub-Zonal office Nasirabad for ‘artificial’ low gas pressure during the cooking hours in the their area since last three months.

The protesters including professionals, teachers and students were carrying placards in their hands and shouted slogans against officials concerned who were responsible for acute low gas pressure in their areas. They charged SSGC local authorities had been targeting particularly Kathia Mohala, main locality of Nasirabad Town, District Qambar.

“This low pressure problem invariably affects professionals and students as they go to their work and schools, respectively, without having breakfast, said Abdul Gaffar Tunio a protester while briefing the media.

The gas pressure during cooking time is too low so that they are unable to prepare even a cup of tea; resultantly’ they are forced to use wood fire for cooking despite paying gas bills on due date every month, he said.

The residents expressed concern over low gas pressure since the advent of the current winter season and demanded of government to resolve their issue on priority basis.

The protesters including Mohammad Shahrif Wahocho, Javaid Hussain Channa, Nizaquat Mirani and Sheeraz Thalho also addressed the annoyed crowd.
