Protestor injured outside Karachi Press Club

KARACHI: A protestor was shot in leg by unknown armed man outside the ‘Karachi Press Club’ (KCB), here on Saturday. Habib, 31, was among the fishermen who were protesting over the ban on fishing along the city beaches when a man in black car fired the shot.

Chairman Fisher Folk Forum Muhammad Ali Shah said that they were protesting peacefully when a man stepped out of his car and shot one of their fishermen.

The motive behind target was not known. However, in response to a question, raised by PPI, Muhammad Ali Shah remarked that he suspects nobody but has concerns over the issue.

Soon after the incident, a police van approached the crime spot and arrested the assailant, seized his gun and took him to unknown location for further investigation.
