KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Sindh senior leader Subhan Ali Sahil said on Saturday that the national institutions in the country had failed to function independently and impartially and PML-N was responsible in this regard.

Addressing a joint press conference at Karachi Press Club (KPC), he held government responsible for the prevailing political instability in the country.

He accused the government of controlling institutions in a bid to avoid criticism and said that India had constantly violating international laws and ceasefire accord by continually opening fire into Pakistani territory which had so far killed more than 10 people and injured several others.

“Despite such Indian aggression, the government has remained silent over the issue,” Sahil said.

Speaking on the occasion, PTI leader Aftab Jahangir expressed concern over the stampede that occurred in PTI public meeting in Multan on Friday night and demanded judicial inquiry into it.

He urged high-level probe into the stampede and punishment to culprit involved in the incident.

Jahangir also showed concern over death of 30 people due to raw liquor consumption in Karachi and urged dismissal of responsible officers of that affected area.
