SIALKOT: Former AJK Prime Minister and President PTI Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mehmood has said that the winds of political “change” are blowing into Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and very soon the PTI would come in power in AJK with power of votes, as Kashmiri people are also wanting freshness in AJK politics and visible change there.

He stated this while addressing a press conference at Jinnah House here Wednesday.

He urged the Supreme Court of Pakistan and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to ensure early opening of the ballot boxes in constituency NA 110(Sialkot-I) to unearth the massive engineered rigging in 2013 general elections made by the PML-N to get its stalwart Khawaja Mohammad Asif (Federal Minister for Defence, Water and Power) won from this constituency as well.

Barrister Sultan Mehmood strongly condemned the recent brutal killings of innocent Pakistani civilian people due to unprovoked intensified mortar shelling by Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) on Sialkot border villages along the Working Boundary here.

President PTI AJK also accused both PML-N and PPP for pushing back the Kashmir Issue.

He alleged that both PML-N and PPP have badly damaged the Kashmir Cause for their personal political gains by putting aside and neglecting the national interest.

He added that both of these main parties had also exploited the basic rights of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). He said now the PTI has become a ray of hope for the people of AJK and the depressed Kashmiri people in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He added that the PTI would win the next coming LB polls in Punjab and elections of the AJK Legislative Assembly besides giving tough time to both PML-N and PPP in AJK politics.

On this occasion, Hafiz Mohammad Raza (local PML-Q leader), Hafiz Hamid Raza (local leader of Muslim Conference and former AJK minister) joined PTI.

Local PTI leaders , Umer Dar(organizer PTI Sialkot district), Ch. Maqbool Ahmed (former MLA-AJK), Ch. Tahir Mehmood Hundali (former MPA), Rana Ejaz Ahmed (former District Naib Nazim of Sialkot) , Barrister Jamshaid Ghiyas , Mian Shakeel Ahmed , Nusrat Jamshaid Malik and Bushra Razzaq Alvi (President PTI Women Wing Sialkot District) were present on this occasion.
