Punjab government to provide quality education to children

Sialkot: Punjab government was committed to ensure easy access of every child to the quality education opening the educational vistas for every one for providing education to everyone and would not let any child deprived of getting education due to the non-availability of the money, in this regard.

MPA Mansha Ullah Butt stated this while talking to the newsmen.. He said that the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has already established Punjab Education Endowment Fund for giving the educational scholarships and stipends to the brilliant, intelligent and shining deserving students, as the Punjab government has allocated a chunk of Rs. 11 billion special funds for this purpose. He said that this was the biggest fund for education promotion and financial encouragement of the brilliant students in the history of Pakistan, saying that the provincial government has also added Rs.2 billion more in this fund.

MPA added that the provincial government would spend Rs. 1.8 billion for the upgradation of government primary schools to the elementary level across Punjab, besides, spending Rs. 1.25 billion for establishing Information Technology (IT Labs) in the government schools, Rs.600 million for establishing new government primary schools across Punjab.
