QAC urges Ullema-e-Kiram to support National Action Plan

Peshawar: Provincial Chairman Qaumi Amn Committee (QAC) has urged Ullema-e-Kiram (Religious clerics) to support National Action Plan (NAP) in order to eliminate terrorism and normalcy could be established.

The chairman of QAC for interfaith harmony, Alama Mohammad Shoaib during a news conference here at Press Club on Wednesday, said that QAC was working for peace more than others in the province.

He stressed that interfaith harmony and brotherhood among all sects was indispensable for wiping out terrorism and for durable calm and tranquility in the country, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).

Condemning target killings, he quoted Islamic point of view said that It does not allow killing of any innocent human, adding that the QAC was fully endorsing NAP for sake of peace and wanted implementation it in true spirit and latter so that the curse of terrorism could be rooted out.

On the occasion, the chaiman demanded of commissioner to remove difficulties in registration of Madaris (Islamic education Schools) and withdraw condition of Non Objection Certificate (NOC) in establishing Madrassa.

Criticizing the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for taking less interest in bringing peace, he said the QAC was needed government’s priority to take it on board and make the QAC engaged in peace activities. “We don’t need for fund but we want government’s attention towards us,” he made it clear.

Known social activists Mashal Khan and Qaiser Bacha along with their supporters announced joining the committee’s fold and ensured all kind services to it for the normalcy in the province.
