Raid conducted two streets away from Sattar house: Rangers

KARACHI: Rangers on Monday claimed to have arrested two alleged one target killer and one extortionist from PIB Colony of the city, two streets away from the house of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar. A Rangers spokesman said that a suspected target killer Shamshad and extortionist Ahmed were arrested during a raid in a house in PIB Colony.

The spokesman said that the operation was conducted two streets away from the residence of MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar who blamed Rangers for removing a security camp outside his house and arresting three persons.

Rangers denied the allegation as saying that protest over the operation was being held to protect the criminals, he said.

The spokesman said that Rangers was committed to continue operations against the criminals without yielding to any pressure.
