Ramazan ration distributed among poor

Rawalpindi:,,, On the eve of holy month of Ramazan, South Asian Pulse Relief Forum with the coordination of Rawalpindi Arts Council organized a welfare activity at RAC Auditorium in which Ramazan Ration worth ten lac rupees was distributed among 350 white collar poor families.

Akram Zaki former Secretary General Foreign Affairs presided over while former Interior Minister Malik Habib Khan was the Chief Guest at the occasion. Rana Abdul Baqi Chairman South Asian Pulse Relief Forum read out the special messages of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, former Air Chief Air Chief Marshal Kaleem Saadat, former Federal Tax Secretary Feroze Ansari and Principal Dr. Ghulam Akbar Niazi for expressing solidarity with the poor families. Columnist Wajiha Kiran conducted the proceeding of the ceremony.

Arslan Abbasi Advocate recited from the Holy Quran and Arif Mannan presented the Qasida Burda Sharif. Prior to distribution of ration, Sajjad Akbar Abbasi Member Punjab Bar Council administered “Ijtemai Dua” for the uplift of poor families in Pakistani social order. Speakers including Malik Habib Khan, Akram Zaki, Muzaffar Qureshi former Federal Secretary, Abida Rehmani a renowned writer from North America, Naheed Manzoor former Director Arts Council and Rana Abdul Baqi expressed solidarity with the Safaidposh Families and demanded of the Government to follow the vision of Allama Iqbal and the founder of Pakistan Quaid i Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah to make Pakistan a true Muslim Welfare State.
